Yin-Yang: Balance in Motion
Overview
This project reimagines the ancient Taoist symbol of yin-yang through the medium of 3D animation, exploring concepts of duality, balance, and cyclical change. Using Softimage XSI, the animation brings this philosophical icon to life through fluid motion and transformative sequences.
Animation
Visual Exploration
The animation explores the yin-yang symbol's principles through various transformative states:
Technical Approach
Created using Softimage XSI, this project utilizes advanced 3D modeling and animation techniques to achieve fluid, organic movement. Particle systems, dynamic simulations, and custom shaders were employed to create the smooth transitions between forms while maintaining the essential balance at the heart of the yin-yang concept.
Conceptual Framework
The animation reflects the philosophical principles behind the yin-yang symbol: the interplay of opposing yet complementary forces, the seed of each element contained within its opposite, and the continuous flow of transformation. These ancient concepts are reimagined through contemporary digital art techniques.
